how did you know when it took a dump? I just want to make sure its not something stupid before shelling out $$$ on a head unit.

My symptoms are slight, but if they are going to get worse, tell me. Currently it has a hard time with stations it never used to have a problem getting. :?

Your capacitors are likely to be weakening. You can make sure the ground points for your antenna and the unit aren't corroded, but my money is on it unit's in death throws.

Im sure someone around here has one. People replace them all the time with aftermarket one.If I had one,I would give it to you for free, but unfortunately mine not only didn't come with one, some moron cut the harness off.

I have one. The cd player works....... Once a year (if that).

I just bought an aftermaket one, assuming that one works, (still in the process of installing it) I can ship the stock one out to you if you want it
