Hi all....Im a little nervous. I bought this engine(HT 3.4) and just read that there is not enough room to swap the starter over to the other side. Has anyone heard this? Thanks
It will be fine. Drill the block and mount the starter. A small portion will overlap the edge of the block. If you know anyone who welds you could weld in a piece to fix it. Using SS rod will prevent cracking of the cast iron.
I have the "HT"3.4 in my trooper and the starter is not a problem on the left side. I'll find the picture and show you what their talking about but it is not a problem. Just get rodney dickmans starter drill jig and you will be fine.
