Hey,
I need to replace the Knock Sensor in my V6 1999 Amigo. I bought some book that sort of details how to do this and according to these steps it is a very involved process. From reading some posts, etc. I thought this was a fairly straight forward process. Does anyone know how to replace this thing without having to take apart half of the engine? I am by no means a mechanic so any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I did not even know that your 3.2 had a knock sensor. Usually only
turbo charged cars have a knoc sensor.

I will check my shop manual disc.

I checked my manual for the 99 ignition system. It did not say
anything about a knock sensor. BUT the same manual for the 02'
DID not say anything about the ION ignition so it might not be a good
source.

Well my Check Engine light is constantly on and after getting the codes read the code was for a knock sensor. Transmission guy told me that my Knock Sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. Anyway I actually purchased the thing a couple of days ago thinking I could do this myself but after looking at that manual I am not so sure I can do it.
