I made a similar contraption when I was a teenager. It worked pretty good for the many years I used it. Assuming that your garage floor is almost parallel with the engines crankshaft, this contraption you made should work just as well. Nice work!

The first one I made was all welded together. I didn't think of angles being a problem then..well I learned the hard way. I ended up shimming the jack stands the vehicle was on to match the homemade Jack.
