I recently replaced the O2 sensors on my 96 Trooper in response to HBDII code P0161 which AutoZone told me meant faulty O2 sensor #2, bank 2.
I have never replaced the sensors in 125K, so I ponied up and replaced all four of them at once, expecting the CEL to extinguish upon completion.
It did not, so I returned to AutoZone to see what the read out said post O2 replacement. I got code P1393 which, on the AZ handheld, reads as some sort of misfire. Perplexing, because my goat runs perfectly.
I also found out that the original code refers to the HEATED O2S, not just the O2 sensor. Anybody know what the difference is or where I can get to the HO2S? AND has anybody ever had code P1393 pop up?

Thanks,
BW

Did AutoZone sell you the O2 sensors? That's where I got mine. I purchased Bosch O.E. type (p/n 15703) and haven't had any problems.

Also, did AZ clear the code after they read it or did you expect it to just clear itself. OBD2 codes either have to be cleared with the code reader or by pulling the 15A ECM fuse for 30 sec. or so.

I had AZ clear the codes, but the CEL came back on. I then removed the fuse and the light went out for about 10 seconds then came back on.
Does anybody know anything about the G-sensor code?
