Going to be putting on my new head next week and noticed in the Haynes manual that the headbolt torque is a defined in degrees.

step one: 18
step two: 90 Degrees
step three: 90 Degrees
step four: 90 Degrees

I do not have any angle torque wrench and was wondering if there is a way to convert this to in-lbs/ft-lbs. if its not possible where could i find one of these tools as i have not seen on on any local shops shelves. thanks

I think that means that you torque the head bolts in four passes (be sure to use the tightening order shown in the book!). The first pass, tighten the bolts to 18 ft-lbs. The second pass, turn each bolt 90 degrees, or one quarter of a turn. Third and fourth passes are the same as the second. You only need the torque wrench for the first pass.
