Hope I don't get branded a traitor for this...

Due to high gas prices, I can either take half the fishing trips this Summer as I plan to, or do this:

The 35 mpg Camry wil be for all lakes that can be driven to on paved roads. The Trooper is going to have to be left at home except for trips on dirt roads.

Sounds like a fine idea to me, doubling your mileage for pavement pounding trips is just smart.

It's behind Red Beans in this pic but this trailer get pulled behind the wifes Honda quite a bit. Jetski trailer with a long tongue added. Very light and tows great behind small cars.

It only makes sense to save on fuel. Fishing is a priority! Doesn't matter how you get there.

As for your Camry I suggest getting proper racks for the car from Thule, Yakima, ect. The foam blocks work OK but get to be a pain. A rack is much more conveinient and secure. Not cheap these days but much safer.
