Hello all,

I have an issue where if I start the car in park it won't shift out of park. It locks up no matter what I try. However, if I start in neutral I can shift to reverse and drive. If I start in neutral and shift to park it stays stuck in park. Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas?

The AT shift lock Is not being released when the Foot Brake Pedal is depressed. The Park Position Detect Switch may be out of adjustment or the Shift Lock Relay is defective or Shift Lock Solenoid is defective. You need to remove the center console to troubleshoot these components.
