Hey look to see if that rodeo transmission is as dirty and weathered as the engine block. Look at the corners of the Tranny bolts see if there rusty on the corners ( a sign that.. there was a socket applied to the bolt. Normaly when a bolt is turned with a socket the galvanized points will wear and rust will form).. just a tip. This rodeo with 256k could have had a rebuilt transmission at 175k ya never know.
I love Jeep ZJ's, I'll be selling the Amigo and buying a 97 or 98 Limited Jeep ZJ with the 318 here soon. But I still don't get the "It's a Jeep thing" BS...cause I've done just as much in my Isuzu or more than I ever did in my Wrangler/XJ/or ZJ ;-).
