I have a 99 Honda Passport that started running rough. The check engine light came on at the same time so I took it to the parts store to have the code read. It came back that the fuel was running lean at the left bank. Has anyone had this happen before?

You have a cracked intake manifold gasket. Change both lower intake manifold gaskets. It's about a 1.5 to 2 hour job and costs less than 40 bucks. You will only need a good socket set and a 22mm or 7/8" wrench to loosen the egr tube.

Or take it to the dealer and pay way too much.

I guess you could take it to a shop with parts in hand, maybe that woudln't hurt the wallet too bad.
