I ordered a set, but then got a message saying that they were on back-order. I figured i will give them a week and cancel if they haven't gotten them in. I always worrry that I am getting into some type of scam with a deal like that.

I got the same "backordered" response.

I thought for $25 (even if the rebate was bogus) they would be a steal.

I've done some research @ SlickDeals and PBB and I've come to the conclusion that-

• The radios are NOT the best quality[/*]
• The built-in flashlight is worthless[/*]
• The rebate that is promised sometimes never makes the trip to your mailbox[/*]
• It goes thru batteries like a sailor in the Orient (no offense intended[/*]

I'm cancelling my order within the next few days :roll:
