Marcus, that is one Beautiful RS! And what an amazing opportunity to find an almost-new transmission and transfer case to install. Very generous of you to offer the old trans/xfer case to the group, whoever gets it is one Lucky Son of a Gun!

I've got a perfectly functioning 5-speed manual transmission that was taken out of the Trooper RS shown in these photos.

Transmission worked perfectly but I had the opportunity to replace it with one that was nearly new so this one is available now, as is. Has just over a hundred and seventy thousand miles on it.

The transmission is sitting in my dark San Francisco garage so haven’t taken any pictures but it's clean and ready to go.

Come pick it up - first to come, first to get it.

You could make it fit, but it wouldn't be a one day job to swap it in and you'd need more parts than just the tranny

The MUA5 from behind the 2.6L will not fit, but the MUA5 from behind a 3.2L will fit. As someone who has done it, you will indeed need much much more than just the trans and it will take a considerable amount of fabrication.

IIRC, Fastenal does shipping across the country at reasonable rates.

Probably best to build a crate to protect it, then they require it to be strapped to a pallet. The item/crate has to be fully within the dimensions of the pallet. Or just build a special pallet that fits the trans, strap 'er down and away it goes.

Marcus could then drop it off at his local store and it'll ship to the nearest store by you.

Just about any shipping company would ship something in a crate. Of course the rates are gonna vary, probably wildly. I'd venture that even UPS might ship, but it's a pretty heavy object for them. IDK what their limits are. It might be a situation where they deliver to a local shipping station, and you have to go there to pick it up off the loading dock or with a forklift.
