Found a bargain transmission super cheap. Need help confirming if it's a 4L30E for 4WD. The bell housing is confusing me. I thought it should have a rectangular opening in the bottom to access TC bolts / inspection??

Looks like a 4L30E. The 4wd has a longer output shaft than 2wd, but I don't know what the measurement is. That transmission is likely out of a GM car (not an Isuzu) as the torque converter only has three bolt holes. You'll have to change to an Isuzu bell housing if you wanted to try to use it. The Isuzu units do have a rectangular inspection port at the bottom and I think a different shape for the starter.

A 2WD trailshaft is longer than a 4WD so this is a 4WD 4L30e
The ID # 96017798 indicates it is applicable to a 1996 Acura SLX
The Acura SLX is actually a Trooper just like a Honda Passport is actually a Rodeo
