8) I know that as they age...like all of us, the fan,fan clutch, etc. don't work as well as they should.
Now, I don't have any over heating problems but the fan makes a hel* of noise as I go down the road.
Is that common with these little motors or should I examine the fan clutch for wear, etc.
Is it the shape of the blades or some such thing as that...it seems inordinately load!

giz...it's a good thing that's not spelled with a j...!
The noise begins immediately on start on and continues
Does that sound like the clutch...if so should it be replaced!
I came here from the Ford world...is this fan normally noisy...!?

It should be noisy, immediately.

But the noise should pretty much go away, fairly quickly.

Then, as the engine gets hotter, it should come back a bit.

8) Does that mean that by replacing the fan clutch the noise would go away or be reduced?

The noise should be about the same, on startup.

I can really hear mine on startup, as well.

But the noise dies down VERY quickly.

Then it doesn't get noticeably noisy again until the engine gets so hot that it really needs the cooling.

Even then, I don't think it ever gets as noisy again, as it was at startup.
