What other engines will bolt right up to the tranny? I'd rather not have another 3.5 in there.

Truck is a 99 Trooper.

the 3.2 Isuzu engine which is really nothing more then at 3.5L with a shorter stroke

Good evening,

I've been searching about and reading up on threads here for an hour or two now, and I have a few questions.

1. the 3.2 Isuzu motor...what other vehicles did it come in, and about how
much do they run used?

2. What kind of horsepower/torque does the 3.2 motor make compared with the 3.5?

3. A 3.2 would bolt up properly than to the Automatic transmission that is in a 1999 Trooper with the 3.5, right?

4. Would this require a new wiring harness/ECU/engine accessories?

Just guessing here, but he probably blew the 3.5, and wants to replace it with something with a bit more hp (his other vehicle being a wrx). So he probably doesn't want a 3.2.

You can have my 3.5 when I get the chance to take it out. It'd make a nice coffee table or something, and the big hole in the block would be an excellent conversation piece.

Looked this up on edmunds.com

3.5 v6
215 HP/230 TQ

3.2 V6
205 HP/215 TQ

Hmm...not a whole heck of a lot of a difference.
