Ive got a 2.6L engine in a 89 trooper that when you first start it the oil pressure reads around 45. But as it warms up it drops to "0". Need all the help I can get....It has 247,000 miles on it...Is it time for a new engine or head or what....thanks in advance

You'll want to do a little diagnosing, first, how long has the oil filter been on there (on the off chance its very dirty and the bypass has stuck open). Next you need to get an oil pressure gauge hooked up to the engine, will tell you if the electric gauge is accurate or not. Could be looking at a failing oil pump or rod an main bearings going south.

thanks changed the oil and filter yesterday and still the same...getting a noise from the top end of engine. guess ill take it to shop and let them diagnoss. thanks alot
