I had to go to some random doctors office for a drug test for a job I recently applied to today. BIGGEST PITA I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME! Long story short I sat in the waiting room for over an hour, while 6 people that came in after me got called in, to piss in a friggin cup and get yelled at by some rude *** nurse! My participation in this process took all of 3 minutes. I tried to be polite and make small talk with the nurse, but somebody musta pissed in her wheaties that mornin because she made it her goal to treat me like some piece of dirt under her foot.

I really hope I get this job, just for the waste of time this drug test was. I know it'll come back clean so at this point its just a waiting game to hear back from them.

Sorry to rant yall I just had to vent a little, and I'm sure some of yall will get a laugh or two outta this.

Also, I'm not normally this grumpy. Today sucked major ***...

I have to deal with "A" holes every time I go to the VA. One nurse lectured me on not smoking before coming in because it annoyed her. She was rather rude about it. So I abruptly reminded her that Nam vets have a reputation for killing things without even thinking about it....

Her attitude changed in a heart beat.

And as soon as you left, she promptly reported to her superiors, and possibly law enforcement, that you threatened to kill her.

The VA is probably one of the best examples of horrific office visits and staffing in the world. My father, a Marine discharged due to medical disability caused by his knees, had to fight with some stupid clerk at the VA for 7 weeks to get his free healthcare active at that location. He got fed up with being on the phone with her and drove down there to talk with her. He had to point out on his paper work that he qualified for it, because she didn't have a clue where to look. I wont even go into the troubles my best friend has had with that same VA branch. It's almost sickening how poorly this countries service veterans get treated.

On a different note, and sorry if I am thread jacking, but I have had my fair share of annoying doctors visits lately. I have spent the last three weeks driving hundreds of pointless miles to office visits for my back injury all because they wan't to check up on my progress. Can't they just do that over the phone? I can tell them with great surety that it still hurts like it did the last 3 times.

My other rant would be about scheduling appointments. My MRI was a priority "needs done ASAP" Took 8 days to get in. I found out that I have a herniated disc (right protrusion) at my L5-S1 which is putting a lot of pressure on my sciatic nerve (hence all the pain). That was 2 days ago and I just got a call today to setup my appointment with a back specialist...on the 19th. 11 days from today. WTF?! By the time I get treated and back on my feet I will have reached retirement at the rate these people move. Kind of like this stupid insurance company taking 48 HOURS to approve a payment on a prescription. I hurt now, not two days from now.

I hate dealing with "Mechanic's" at 8 am that know little to none about the suspension under his vehicle and how he cant figure out what is popping on bumps. I suggest bearing plates and or sway bar links ( ball and socket type ). and I get a Huge " Your an Idiot" look. This started at 8 am this morning.

I then prove him wrong to the point he walks out the shop and complains to my manager about my attitude and how Im so full of it, he cant belive he just let me look at his car. for free, as always. I denied to work on it further at that point. Diagnosis halted at the 3 min mark. its now 8:15 am and Ive already had 4 more smokes than I need. Mind you I woke up at 7:30......

Thats how my Entire day went lol. BEER!THRITY! Later all.

Im so sorry to hear your back pain, that was another reason why I was absent from this site for so long. I ended up seeing a non surgical specialist and Im ALOT better on pain than I was a year ago. and I dont have take many pills to get pain free.

Actually her superior walked by as I was going off and asked what the problem was. When I told HIM the same thing as I told her... he looked at her and told her to never upset a vet again....

What happened after I left is anyone's guess, but she has never tried to give me any attitude again.

I'm just sick of the doctors office and all these "specialists". A few months ago I flipped a dirtbike in Toccoa, GA and (was told) I sprained my foot. I got some xrays and was told I'd need to have a follow up appointment a week later. A week later I was back at school 120 miles from my doctor so I got an appointment at an office there. I show up for the appointment and the receptionist looked at me like she had no idea why I was there. Finally the doctor saw me, xrayed me, and told me he'd call me back in a week for another appoinment... Here it is July (this event took place in MARCH) and I've still not heard from them... I know my foot hasn't healed up right, but it rarely gives me any major problems, so like a dummy I'm just dealing with it.

Doctors are over-payed scam artists. Dentists are a friggin joke, don't even get me started on them.

BTW, if any of yall are doctors or dentists please don't take this the wrong way. I had a few negative experiences and everything I've said here is strictly directed at the people I've dealt with.
