Im in south FL Miami area and need someone capable and willing to work on a 91 pickup with a 3.1 GM V6 engine. The mechanics around me don't want to bother and the ones that do wreak havoc. I have done what I can myself but I dont have the tools, space and the knowledge to deal with some of the issues I have.

Dang, I would think there would be plenty of mechanics willing and able to work on a V6. Sorry for your dilemma.

Have you tried looking via Nextdoor or Angi or neighborhood/help forums of that nature? Maybe even a local automotive FB group would have good suggestions. I've found more quality places via local word of mouth than any other place.

First. What do you need to have done?
Second, you might try reaching out to a Chevy S-10 group - same basic engine.
I'm in St Pete, but I'm so far behind I couldn't even think about it.
