Delphi Fuel Pump for 2003 Rodeo S V6 3.2L 4WD

I'm looking to replace my failing fuel pump and my research tells me that Delphi is the way to go for quality. I'm struggling in finding literature confirming the correct model for my 2003 Rodeo S V6 3.2L 4WD.

I believe I should be ordering the DFG0290 because that's what AutoZone's website is telling me, but their prices are high.

If I look to order from other sites I get compatibility issues warnings when specifying my vehicle using the specs listed above.

Can anyone confirm if this is the correct Delphi model number or is another one more appropriate?

Thanks!

Rock auto lists the fuel pump assembly (complete housing, pump, strainer -- $194) as Delphi FG0289. I'd also replace the fuel filter while you're at it.

I saw that one as well so I was super confused which direction to go. Thank you and I certainly will hit the filter as well.
I've noticed some reviews of the product saying that no O-Ring is included. Like everything with this Rodeo is the O-Ring proprietary and I need to order a specific one or can I just google search for a 2003 Rodeo fuel pump gasket / O-ring and be safe there?

I'd just replace the pump and strainer as it is much cheaper, but rock auto doesn't have the delphi listed for just the pump.

Is there an o-ring sealing the fuel line to the pump or something? Or are they talking about the massive circular gasket that seals the fuel pump housing into the tank? If it is the former, they can almost always be reused without issue. If it is a normal o-ring, the pump will almost always come with it and if it doesn't you could go to any auto parts store and get it for a dollar. (just match up the sizes)

The latter, the ring sealing the fuel pump housing into the actual tank. The fuel pump does not come with one of those and I'm assuming that the existing one will be nearly disintegrated.
I have found that the plastic fuel tanks made by Visteon have two different O ring grooves. Mold 1 uses a Green O ring seal and Mold 2 uses Green with Blue painted markings.
Mold 1 is Part # 8-97329-935-0
Mold 2 is Part # 8-97329-099-0

That is perfect, thank you so much for the detailed information!

Is there anyway to know what mold I have without dropping the tank? I'm looking at those part numbers on eBay and #9350 matches my vehicle (2003) while the #0990 is said to fit a 2001.
I am reasonably sure the 9350 will fit your tank, but you will have to remove the pump assembly to find out.
Why are you replacing the pump assembly? Be aware that most aftermarket pumps have an incompatible electrical connector requiring a cut and splice connector with no directions provided and the color codes don't match.
