Needs the mechanical fuel pump. You could buy a fuel pump and install it, then hopefully drive it home!

Hard to beat $500 for a Gen-I PNW Trooper!! Looks like an LS, too, with nice alloy wheels (not Snowflakes).

Low Mileage 1987 Isuzu Trooper II in running condition minus a fuel pump that needs replacement. Great rig if you're looking for a cheap 4x4 and or parts/project vehicle--it's got a great frame and a clean title.

As I said it's currently not running, so will need to be towed out at pick up (I have AAA and can arrange it to be towed to you as well if a price is agreed upon).

Listed at 500 OBO to move quickly--other than that planning on taking it to a salvage yard as I've run out of space for it unfortunately.

Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions, thanks!

I got the one up the page for $375. Closed the deal at $350. The window had been open for 3 years and the engine came apart so hard it blew the steering pump off the block.the seller was a one star for lying on many things.if looking for a cream puff perfect troop that needs a trans swap.

Bummer Robb5. It is always a risk buying someone else's abused rig. You still got away $50 cheaper than I paid for an '86 parts rig that was all rusted out. Win some, lose some. I lose more than I win, it seems. :? You are not alone.

Hello: I'm helping my grandpa sell his 1988 Isuzu Trooper II (2.6L Fuel-Injected, Four Cylinder) (5 Speed: Standard Stick Shift Transmission) (4WD). He bought it back in 1994 with 88,000 miles on it. The Isuzu currently has 116,xxx. This is extremely low miles for a vehicle that is 30 years old. This would be a great first vehicle for a teenager or just a weekend winter vehicle. My Grandpa had the timing belt replaced--the engine is solid. It comes with an additional set of wheels and tires. This vehicle's only problems are that the front main seal drips a little oil (so just be diligent about checking the oil) it is an older vehicle, so they tend to leak now and then. I don't know what it would cost to get it fixed but it doesn't leak THAT much. Also the hubs are difficult to unlock (Every once in a while) (Auto Hubs) when you back up after being in 4WD. When it is cold it does not like to idle so it dies, but once it warms up it idles fine and does not die. And the fuel gauge operates intermittently- Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't'. Other than those few issues it's a solid running vehicle and again very low miles for a 1988. Just did a fresh oil change and oil filter, air filter, all new belts. (one of the belts squeak a little bit, so it probably needs to be tightened up a little bit), all new spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Asking price is $2,500 OBO Please contact Trevor if interested @ ‪ show contact info ‬ (Call or Text any time)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Another I found to pass along. 2001 Isuzu Trooper 5 speed- $989 (Charlotte NC)

I just wish what I need was closer to south Florida! Would be 1200 + mile round trip for me :/

Exactly what I want to convert my 01 Trooper to 5 Speed.

Anybody want to buy and part out in the Charlotte North Carolina area? Bet you can get it for $700 bucks

All I need is the auto trans to 5 speed tranny conversion stuff with no T-case as my 2001 is 2 wheel drive.

5 speed Tranny complete, flywheel , clutch etc and all the bolts, clutch master and slave with soft and hardline, clutch pedal and bracket, pcm and all the little bits.

You can have the rest of the vehicle to sell for parts.

For me it would 500 bucks in airfare, car rental. Then transport would be 600 to 800 bucks, then another 950 bucks for the vehicle.

If I could get all I need in one shot shipped to me for $1000 bucks I would be happy! :D

Not exactly a Craigslist deal, but just ran across this one on Facebook's Marketplace section:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 8933990381

Listed as an 86 Amigo, but sure looks like a 2-door short wheelbase Trooper to me!! And listed as having the 2.2 diesel...which is what really caught my eye.
Although a 2-door Trooper, it's a LWB model, not the shortie. Very cool turbo diesel, though! :thumbleft:

This one is close to me, in Luray VA, as in about a 2 hour drive. I just cannot convince the wife that it's worth the trip and the money. I've spoken to the owner and he has several Isuzu's on his property. I think the price is pretty negotiable with cash in hand so a TD for around $2k that you can drive home is not too bad a deal.
