MagnaFlow has recomended part # 14262. I asked for a low tone but not too loud. And, I still want the exhaust pipe out the back in original position. Has anyone used this MF muffler?

I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COWUDY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And it sounds like this (I don't have a better video yet):

It's gotten a little louder over time. When you engine break down a decent it burbles and pops a little and I like that. Pay close attention to the dimensions though, as this is a much smaller muffler than factory and is 2.5". This is a bit louder than stock, louder than I wanted for hunting, but I don't mind it at all on the street or while wheeling. Even though the inlet/outlet are offset, you can see right through this muffler.

That sounds really nice in the video. How's the noise on the highway?

This probably isn't super helpful for your application, but I put a super basic (and cheap—under $40) Flowmaster 42443-FM "FlowMonster" 2.25 in/out dual chamber on my '89 with the 2.6. I'm happy with the results, no highway drone, but nice around town gurgle. Definitely makes it sound like it has more than 110hp, lol. Plus it fixed my rusted-out OE one . Here's a video of right after my Jerry cam install:

I like the sound -- once I turbo my 4ZE1 I'll need a new exhaust, so that muffler will certainly be in the running

Thanks, MagnaFlow is suggesting part # 14262. Is the Stock Trooper exhaust piping 2.25 or 2.50"?
