That 0 is really troubling. That means that you have a valve that won't close (and is either burn or will burn soon), or a blown head/headgasket. I'd certainly check the valve clearance. Does the car loose coolant? If you remove the oil cap while it is running, is there a rush of air out of the valve cover?

How often were the valves adjusted? Sounds like a valve to me.

a little OT, but if air comes out of the oil fill cap when it is removed, what does this mean? my wifes Acura does this, compression is fine, I assumed it should actually be under vacuum via the pcv valve. what gives? sounds and putters like a little air pump. hmmmm.

thanks for the feedback. im thinking burnt valve as well. motor is coming out and i have a good runner going in. just wanted to get a handle on prob so if someone wants to buy it i know whats up or if nothing else i can get a new head and freshen her up on the stand. thanks again- mike

I had bad compression in my #1 cyl, and the problem was a cracked piston.
