So I'll cut to the chase
I had a friend install a new friction disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing
He's had nothing but a hard time of it
He's pulled it apart twice and it still doesn't work
All the parts appear to have been put in the proper direction
But it doesn't want to push the slave enough to disengage properly
So he put on a new slave as well
No air in the system bled it 3 different ways
What next the master cylinder
Every thing worked just fine before all this just replaced clutch because it had 250,000 miles on it figured I didn't want to break down in the wrong spot. Now I'm broken down in his driveway for 4 days
any ideas???

Check the pedal for an adjuster. I am not sure if the Rodeo is the same as the trooper, but the pedal may have a nut on it that adjusts when it engages. Also, gt a manual for the truck. A down and dirty one can be had for under $20 at the local parts store. Not as good as the full shop, but it can point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps
