I own a 98 trooper and need to know the dimensions of the factory cat. I need them so that i may replace them with universal ones because direct fit are to expensive.

There is also a TOD and non TOD configuration of converters, must be a clearance issue.

Yeah those should fit, those part #'s are from the Magnaflow catalog.

You need two from the first link. The dimensions are there.

I would first check the condition of your down pipes and after cat pipes, some have had problems with them craking at the flange.
If it looks rusty or bad, Magnaflow also has direct fits for about $250 each, wayy cheaper than a factory/OEM cat and its stainless steel.

Did you mean 2.25"?

Stock pipes are 2.25". So 2.50" would be larger and require some modifications to fit.

The Magnaflow cat I linked you to has these specs...

Inlet (center) - 2.25in.
Outlet (center) - 2.25in.
Body shape - Round
Body length - 9in.
Width - 5.125in.
Overall length - 13in.
