Can a 1999 trooper fuel pump be used to replace the fuel pump on a 1990 isuzu trooper , 2.6 L I-tech fuel injection?

Yes, with very tiny and simple mounting modifications. However the pump for the 90 Trooper is readily available at any auto parts store

Can you tell me what needs to be modified? I have a 99 trooper (The engine is bad, so my son and I are using it as a donor now, he has a 98.) that I just put a fuel pump on.

Why do you want to replace the pump with a 1999 pump ? You can buy a pump for your Trooper in any auto parts store.
