has anyone taken a brush guard from another rig, and made it fit a 2nd gen rodeo? i am thinking like a pathfinder or a yota or something.

You have plastic bumper covers, don't you? Steel Bumpers make it easy to swap from other manufactures. We just welded a guard from a CJ7 to the trooper. A Cherokee should be close. You can always cut a section from the middle and weld it up. Have to make brackets.
