I have read many posts regarding O2 Sensors and am now polling the forum community as a whole to get a better answer to these questions:

Which are the better O2 sensors?
Who has had a good experience with which sensors?
Has anyone used the universal type 15732s?

I have had mixed results after replacing my old ones with the Bosch 15703. Better gas mileage but constant P1393 code. (Yes, even after 41 start cycles and then clearing the codes...both with a code reader and by the fuse method.)

Honestly, this G-sensor performance code (P1393) is a pain in the butt.

I havn't had to swap any out yet on a zu, but for 1996+ (OBDII compliant) isuzu V6's, I would use factory replacements for the two pre catalytic converter oxygen sensors & aftermarkets for the two after cat sensors. Hopefully the G-roo's will chime in :wink:- but it's my understanding that the after cat O2 sensors basically just tell you when a cat is not funtioning, while the pre cat sensors do all the manangement work.

have you tested the G-sensor maybe it needs to be replaced I also have a 96 and had to replace the G-sensor at about 260k they do fail not otfen but they do. If you need ifo for testing it I may be able to get it to you.

It was cheaper for me to get 4 sensors from St. Charles Auto (~$45 ea.) than it was for me to buy 4 Bosch OEM sensors from my local Autozone (~$54 ea.).

local garage did the work. They started with a universal sensor. It didn't even make a difference. I was having serious acceleration problems at high speed once the engine warmed up. It took me a while to narrow it down to the O2 sensor. The factory replacement did the trick. New to the planet, any info about a code reader for an early 1995 Passport.

ive changed all 4 with Bosch plug in type and no problems after 6k miles, milage got better after the O2s went in, obviously
