Well fellow 2.6ers, I have reached the last test of my Isuzu ownership.
After a compression test:
Cylinder 1 - 150lbs/sq. in.
Cylinder 2 - 40lbs/sq. in.
Cylinder 3 - 20lbs/sq. in.
Cylinder 4 - 150lbs/sq. in.

Cylinders 2 & 3 are adjacent to each other, therein lies the blown gasket. So, I'm gonna order that AMC head. Does the head come with the gasket, or should I just order a complete gasket set from Isuzu?

Good choice ont he AMC head. It is a quality piece. No, they do not come with a head gasket. You will need to buy one. I do recommend Isuzu on that one.

Cool. I guess I'll get that delta cam while I'm at it.

That's a good combo. I found that the Isuzu factory gasket was cheaper than the aftermarket (Felpro I think).

let me know if you need some info on the head gasket department on your 2.6, I recently done this to mine.

Yea, i wish i had the money at the time when my trooper was down to buy the Delta cam for 2.6, it would be nice to have.
