I noticed the "knock outs" in the bumper of my 01 RODEO. Kinda wunderin about putting lights there and then the other day I see a PASSPORT by the shop with factory lights in that very spot?

Hmmmm, says I so whe I get home that night I crawl under my RODEO and note the harness has plugs just sittin there all RTG..

Soooo my Q is what do I need to get these lights working? I figure some sort of light kit should get it done PDQ but I'm not sure about the mounting and the specific light (part # and source) ? "SEEMS" it may be a plug and play install but since I know stuff usually aint that easy I figured I'd ask the braintrust here first..

Any/All help is appreciated.

In short, you need the fog lamps, bumper brackets, relay, and switch.
They are available in a kit, or you can fab any thing that will fit in there.
I love mine, my Rodeo didn't come with them from the factory, but they really do make a huge difference at night.

Yup, what he said. The wiring is already there, bolt them on and it's a plug and play operation.

I almost forgot, the kit also comes with the wiring pigtails. So you wont have to chop off the factory plugs.

Sounds like the factory kit is the way to go providing a simple and clean install..

Well Jake (UNDERDOG) left the dealership a while back, but he did post sometime last year, that they still honor discounts for planet members.

Do you know what kit you wanted? Oval or circle?
They actually didnt sell the oval kits, but Jake would put them together for a little extra.

The Isuzu part# for the kit is is 2908120100. So I think you can get it from any dealer, maybe even at http://stcharlesautoparts.com

Dang the price has went up, I got it for less than $170. They are probably discontinued or something.
If price is an issue, maybe you can find it at a yeard or on eBay. Or source the parts sperately.
The only thing in the kit that should be OEM is the switch so it looks good in your truck.
Relay can be bought anywhere, and brackets can be made. Just throwin some other options around. :lol:

YEA, I did kinda flinch when I saw the price... :shock:
BUT it really aint that bad when you figure in the install time and quality parts..

Not to say $170.00 wouldn't be better but all in all it's a respectable deal.
The big Q is availability? I "hope" I can get the "KIT" but guess I need to do some more homework on that..

BTW, I want to do the "OVAL" light set-up as that seems the best WTG.

Oval looks good. I just couldnt justify spending the extra money on fog lamps, just for looks. They both get the job done.
Its really personal preference though. If you want to piece the Oval kit together, the part numbers are in the first thread I linked you.
The price went up as well. about $150 for each oval lamp, $12 for each bracket, and $30 for the switch.
But yeah, they are worth it and very easy to install. It makes driving at night more enjoyable since you can see right in front of you.
