In our 95 Rodeo, the anti lock brake light comes on for maybe a minute and then goes out. It will do this occasionally, but never stays on for long. I checked the book and it says to turn it off, the restart it-that should reset it. However, that is not a very practical thing to do going down the road at 65.

Anyone know what may be causing this? Or how to turn it off? Should we disconnect the battery for a while and see if it will reset it? Brakes are good so I can rule that out.

This sounds like a job for the dealer. It could be a wheel speed sensor, or the G-sensor, or the abs computer. Unless you want to start replacing parts, the dealer has the equipment to diagnose the ABS system.
