So I'm finally posting up my 2000 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 4x4. I found it with only 37k miles on it but needs some love. It needed a REALLY good cleaning inside and out and a good compounding and wax session. Also had some gremlins but cant complain since I got it cheap cause of them. I did not waste anytime and started working on it.

Some upgrades I have done:

Kenwood Excelon Head Unit
Subwoofer install and built my own box.
Fog lights with LED halos in them
LED lights in the interior
Hard wired radar detector
Trailer hitch receiver
Weathertech rain guards
Tint 35% Front, 20% rest of them

Future Upgrades:

Grille guard
Smitty bilt Nerf bars(in progress)
Taillight guards
Tint taillights
Paint Wheels black and green
Paint calipers
Get rid of some surface rust underneath
Xenon in headlights (Like Clippers)
Clear the side marker lights
Plasti Dip emblems
Lift (trooper springs and crank)
LED in switchers, dash, exterior lights
Maybe LED under glow kit (Green to live up to its name)
LED off road lights
And More....

would love some suggestions

Thanks I can't wait to see your new project too. I'm thinking of finding a rear door/window/bumper set up so I have the spare on the door. I hate the spare being under the cargo area especially since mine pops when used.

This week I was able to install my refinished nerf bars, a brand new hitch receiver and plug and play wire harness that I found on a parts car that I could not pass up. :D

Not sure where to attach the harness plug as I don't want it dangling and I want something unique..... Would love suggestions. :)

And here are pics of the ported sub box I made for my 12" Kenwood

And New Projects to come

IMG_20130503_234747_551.jpg

Time to get rid of the rusted under spare carrier and gonna paint the door to match and re tint the windows along with new rear window. I plan to make a custom rear bumper to fit the spare tire, but first time to get the wheel locking nut off without the key

Also retrofit will be on the way so I can actually see at night :D

Thanks I'm in the Charlotte area.

Quick update:

I finally swapped wheels so I can take my time painting my main set. Not sure if I like how the trooper wheels look. Also snagged a brush guard for cheap and refinished it. :D

So here's an update:
I prepped, primed, painted, and cleared the bumper, tailgate, and wheels. I am happy with the results as this was my first major painting project.

Will add pics soon of bumpers cleared soon.
Now just to swap parts :D As for the wheels they will get new General Grabber HTS and I will be selling the trooper wheels/tires. Also I have the parts for the xenon retrofit and tint which is next after this surgery lol.

curt hitch no plate.jpg

Don't like how that hitch looks with new setup so back to the junkyards lol

Rear conversion no plate.jpg

Now to finish odds and ends before I move on to retinting  but the 5% is gonna be soooooo worth it :D

And I like this setup way better than the spare tire carrier that I had under the rodeo before ...

So it's been awhile and here's an update. OK since the spare tire conversion I have re tinted the rear of the truck to 5%, swapped my Kenwood 12" sub for a dvc Polk audio 12" (soooo much better), got my new tires mounted to my painted wheels (they are sick), finishing up the matching spare wheel and need to find a tire for spare, Lower Ball joints replaced by MOOG grease able, will need to do uppers in the near future, new Monroe shocks up front under warranty as they were completely dead and leaking, NGK G Power spark plugs (as I got CEL during spring break lol), and more yet to come.

Sooo some pics:

This is after getting them mounted and balanced. I went with 255/70/16 General Grabber HTS tires as it is currently only conquering roadways but hopefully in the future it will have the General Grabber AT2.

IMG_20140310_103948_565.jpg

This is the new wheel and tire set up on the Rodeo and I love it, its a BEAST lol Now just to figure out whether I want the mudflaps or not hmmmmmm.

So stay tuned for LED dash lights, finally do xenon retofit, more LEDs, maybe speakers and a new radio, redoing tint yet again till its perfect, and much more but definately check out my other project in the Other Vehicle section as I got a Sweet deal on a 86 Jeep Cherokee Chief and will be doing A LOT to is to get it road worthy again and i will post this new adventure soon!

I Love it and I'm actually following Clippers instructions to achieve a look as close to his all chrome retrofit.

So I finally got my spare wheel painted and got a used BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A spare tire to match the new tire size. Now I just need a spare tire cover so the sun doesn't eat them up. :|
New Spare Wheel and Tire.jpg

I also has to switch to my old hitch, which hangs a little lower than the curts hitch to fit the license plate. Just ordered LEDs so more pics will be coming. :D
