That is a good idea, but I doubt it would work on Troopers. Our spare carrier is more of a square shape vs a circle, but you never know. Even more reason to build a rear bumper with a swing out.

That one is on a freestanding swing arm. It could be modified with some work to weld to a rear steel bumper I imagine. Very cool!!

i thought one on the roof with a rack over it would work.
or tank to the frunt with rack to the rear, or the other way.
or one under the rear bench to the passenger side. (trops had them there in 84\85 and not the rear).

rear word sight is well in a word, "horred"" with that thing.

id want about 1,000mile range off road and that would take about 35\40 gal extra acounting for many hours of idel time. not a meager 10 gals
