I guess what I really wanted to say is THANKS PLANET ZOO!! This forum is a life saver, you kept me from going insane.. even though I do seem to spend about 5-6 hours a day just browsing through all the old and new posts

Like Selador said, many other vices for her to be concerned with. I'm the same way. Read up, learn, post up if I think it will help, laugh it up the rest of the time. It's a good place to be. Glad to be part of it.

Yup, I hear ya there.. She knows that I am better off reading and laughing to myself on some of the funniest things on here... between the "why didn't I think of that" moments and the "who the hell would wanna do that" moments.. it reminds me of all the "live n learn" things that I've had to deal with as with everyone else.. I appreciate this forum and all the crazy kicka** posts you all post, and I believe she secretly does to (so I don't have to bug her) oh and Selador.... I like your style man.. I have read a ton of your posts.. I especially like this one viewtopic.php?f=15&t=47326 it's quite lengthy but a very good one that I learned alot from

Glad to have you with us, Dude.

And dont worry, it (the free time you have to spend here) Only Gets WORSE!

My wife was a little put off by the whole Isuzu thing. But she is starting to come around.
She has started to realize, it's more, MUCH more than just about the Trooper, it's a LIFESTYLE!

I think it all really sunk in after we drove 6 1/2 hors to go pick up a motor from the legend. aka: JLEMOND

Jerry is THE "go to guy" if you ever want good OEM quality Isuzu parts instead of that "Made in China" junk auto parts stores try to cram down everyones throats! And quite often, he is CHEAPER to buy from too!
He is also a walking living Isuzu service manual!
I swear, there ain't nothing about Isuzu's he dont know!

Congrats on the new addiction.

Every time I get a new/different vehicle that I'm not familiar with (mechanically speaking), I find a forum on the internet where I can find information. The most recent were a Dodge Durango, RX7, and Isuzu(planet) forums. But of all those I've been party to over the years, I have to say that this is the most welcoming, and by far the most informed. Most are populated by stupid kids and know less than I do about the vehicle. This is the first time I've come to a forum and felt like I wasn't the "smartest guy in the room", if you know what I mean, and is in part why I plan on keeping at least 2 or 3 Troopers around.

Thank you. It has been my greatest hope that some of my blathering would actually prove useful.

Don't know that I'm addicted, but I do seem to end up reading posts almost daily. I almost seem to know the regulars, and look foreward to there answers etc. I've never owned an Isuzu myself. I have a son who has an 85 that he's owned for 25 years. I did a restore on it for him last year. It was a fun project for me. Me, I'm a retired AA aircraft mechanic. I've done several projects on cars over my lifetime. I enjoyed the Zu the most, partly because of this forum. I'm in the process of searching for one now for myself. I missed a beaut last week. I wasn't fast enough to make a decision. Anyway thats my input. Be back again soon. Damn AA with there bankruptcy, now I'm sweatin my pension stays intact

I remember that restore you did, itsmehb. That was very clean, but what made it awesome was the story that went along with it. I can't wait to see what zu finds you.

EDIT:
Oh, and I too am a Zoo-aholic
