96 Rodeo , Just got this thing back togather after changing out the water pump and noticed that the dash light that says reABS and the brake light stay on . pulled the emg.brake up and down a few times but the lights remained on. It set for about a week with the emg. brake on while I changed the water pump, belts, and hoses. I did not notice the lights the first few times I started it after the pump change ,but tonight when I went to move the car the lights were on. I did not pull the Neg batt, cable in a effort to reset anything, if it can be done that way. HELP HELP

Removing power to the ECU should reset it. Approx 10 min do it.

Just remove postive off battery.

I think I have a similar problem. My 97 Rodeo e-brake light stays on all the time. However, I just noticed that when I put on the rear windsheild wipre, it goes out. When the wipers are turned off the light comes back on again. The e-brake switch has been replaced so that's not it. Any thoughts on this? Could unpluging the ECU fix this?

Thanks,

Alex

Same thing in our 95. It comes on now and then for no reason. Never did it until we changed the back brakes. Books says something about a reset. As above, disconnect.
