99 VX Keyless entry light, Steady on 24/7

Up until the other day bot hmy wife's fobs and mine worked fine, no sign of trouble but while we were driving, the
keyless entry light that normally flashes, or is off, was steady on. and the fobs no longer work, i cannot find any wiring diagrams in my workshop manual, and it doesn't appear to be in any of the "modes" it has like valet mode.

any insight is awesome
