I just want to thank the contributors on this website for posting such great instructions on the IMG replacement procedure. I used the "lift the manifold" technique and it worked flawlessly. It took me 1.5 hours. I have a 99 Trooper with 100,000 (also owned a 91 Trooper 4cyl 5spd). I have had the IMG replaced twice before, the dealer did the best job and cheapest, $360. So you guys saved me $300 and boosted my home auto tech skills! I really love and hate Troopers, they brought me to some very cool places and never left me with out power but the little things that break bug me. I am tempted to just bite the bullet and buy a Toyota!
Thanks, Cal
