I'm not having any problems with my car yet, but I'm the kinda guy that likes to know in advance what problems I might have in the future. I was looking for a fuel filter, and noticed that my local parts place didn't have a fuel pump listed, and so I start snooping round the net, and find that the only way I can get this, is to buy the whole assembly for near 300 bills. I'm also the kinda guy that says that's BS, and there's gotta be just the pump I can get somewhere, and disassemble the canister and replace just the pump- am I wrong? I ran into the same thing with the thermostat, gotta but the whole housing. Thanks in advance, Kevin

well after looking round, I found out cavalier has same or similar 2.2, and gm built my motor, so I went and looked up a fuel pump for it, found same canister, still a high price, BUT rockauto.com, sell just the fuel pump for 60 bucks. glad I'm inquisitive- still need to find the specs on both pumps to see if they're the same
