Found a pinhole in the return pipe that runs along the top of the engine and emerges from the engine bowels alongside the thermostat housing, before making a 90-degree bend where the upper radiator hose attaches. The pinhole is at the 90-degree bend.

My question: I'm using liquid weld and a hose-clamp/rubber patch over the pinhole as a temporary fix. How complex a project is replacing the return pipe? In the drawings, it attaches at the rear of the engine where the left/right coolant returns come together. If I can access the rear attach bolts, will the pipe pull out or do I need to remove everything above it?

Remove the intake manifold, and also replace any hoses and o-rings in there. Might be a good idea to do the intake gaskets also.
