I have a 91 Isuzu Trooper 2.6 4 cylinder.I recently changed the battery cables. The negative cable I installed did not have the small wire that attaches to the frame in front of the right front tire. Well shortly thereafter I cranked it up and drove it.After stopping it, it wont start. It turns over just like normal but wont start. I put the old negative cable back on and attached it just like it was and it still wont start. Timing belt is fine and not broken, fuel pump is good to go, I pulled a spark plug and discovered no spark, any ideas??????I am thinking its the ignition coil but if that were the problem wouldnt it not turnover????? HELP!!

The engine will crank normaly without the coil.

You might want to check for a loose coil connection.

If that's not it pull the coil wire off the distributor cap & place the end near a stud or bolt.& crank the engine.

If you still dont see any spark, the coil probably died.
