WELL FIRST OFF IT IS AN 800 LB ENG, AND MAKES ABOUT 130 HP, AND HAS A REV LIMIT OF ABOUT 300O RPM. , VERY TALL ENG . ALL SO.

maybe I have the wrong engine code. Its a turbo diesel from an isuzu work van.

Doesn't seem that tall or heavy...

THATS WHAT IT WOULD BE OR THE 4HK1 AND IT IS JUST AS HEAVY AND EVEN LARGER

4BD1-T or 4BD2-T are big 3.9L engines size wise for a trooper.

they can be stuffed in a trop but its no cake walk at all. youd be doing some "major" modifying.
it would take a SAS and devoriced T-case for starters......

4JB1-T 2.8L or 4JG2-T 3.1L where sold in isuzu trucks and suvs just not in the USA. :cry:

this comment makes me very sad...

every car i have ever owned or toyed with has had the same story. awesome options and trim models.... just never sold in the US.

its ok. i still love my trooper and its underpowered 4ze1 :)

What about isuzudieselswapper.com, If the V6 motor had the same bolt pattern as the chevy 350 did then wont the transmission bolt up to a 4DB1-T with the adapter kit sold at the above website?
