I got this in an email thought you'd all like it.

Four Wheel Drive Autos sales and service.
The SUV's of the 20's.
4WD gas is only 20 cents a gallon!

If you go off of the inflation rate through history back to the 1920's, .20 cents = $2.53 in todays money in terms of buying power. Thus gas was the equivalent of $2.53/gal, but also consider that the average american earned $23-24 a week, or 300 a week today - which is the equivalent of making between 14-16k a year today. Not to mention they worked more days and longer hours and you start to appreciate how "expensive" gas would seem back then.

Dang...offroading on solid tires would be harsh.

those both look like FWD's to me great early 4 wheel drives date back to around 1905ish i think but dont quote me on it. And yes very harsh riding and slow but look oh so awesome!!! I want one so badly. But i also want a model T lol.
