Hello All,

This is my first post on this forum. I just got a 2001 Rodeo with only 43000. When I try to unlatch the passanger side rear seat, I can't because it seems locked. the seat back unlatches just fine and the other side operates as designed. Any help in "unlocking" this seat will be greatly appreciated.

I had the exact same problem when I picked up my 01 Rodeo (60000km). I found that the solution was using a lot of force, and a combination of pushing down hard on the seat, and quickly and forcefully jerking on the release strap. Try this a few times, and if you need to spray the mechanism with some WD40 (or similar) lube.
