Hi,

I have a question about my starting routine. The starter in my car has been replaced already by the dealer.

My 3.2 V6 engine starts fine in the morning, almost too strong actually.

If I make a gas stop or similar and re-start it right away, it starts fine again.

But the problem is that when the stop is longer, say about an hour, it has a hard time re-starting.

To make matters more puzzling however, if the stop is long enough, say 3-4 hours, it will start again with no problem.

So, what makes an engine NOT to start after being off long enough but not too long? Sounds like a riddle, but I am serious.
Thanks in advance for the ideas.

Thanks for the replies.

I have been reading the posts on and off in the past. I wasn't sure it would be the IMG since I only have some of the sympthoms: starting woes, excessive consumption, irregular/rough iddle.

I never heard a whistling sound or see the "check engine" light on.

I guess it is time to visit the dealer anyways. Wish me luck. :D

Thanks again.
