2 reasons why I love my isuzu pickup

SIMPLE AND RELIABLE
it's a beautiful thing, REALLY!

1) so a squeaking sound from suspension starts to happen, first thing I do is grease the front hubs. That was easy but didn't solve the issue. Had to do it anyway - 50k km. Then I loosened and cleaned the upper and lower suspension bushings (got replaced around 100k km ago). Squeaks gone!!! Tightened the bushings to spec once on floor, so easy!

2) a few days ago, it started to shut off at idle - runs fine on highway. Got carb cleaner and sprayed the primary and secondary barrels and anything I could see. There is a lot of dust in air in area I drive in - also I use WIX air filters. I like this brand - way better than the chinese garbage you usually see. Again, problem solved!!

There are even 1.6 versions I believe. Isuzu has some strange configs for some markets.
knew most were diesels. one of my friends on the west coast. He brought one in to the states from Japan or Australia, i forget, RHD double cab 2.6L manual.

My dream is a 98-04 4 door with a 4JB1 , but they are expensive even here.

Yes. I’m in South America, these pickups are VERY popular here! They 20 years old or more, but still keep good going!

They have those here! Cool engine swap is the 4JJ1 diesel.
