Its possible to build a 3.1l with the 2.8 block and 3.4 heads isnt it? I wanted to rebuild a 3.4 to swap originally, but i think i might just rebuild the 2.8 and put on 3.4 heads instead, would cost less too. Anybody done this? or is there a thread i just cant find. thanks

All 2.8, 3.1, 3.4 cast-iron heads found on EFI-RWD rigs are functionally identical (same size valves, same size ports & combustion chambers), and it will make no diff in performance if you bolt up a cast-iron 3.4 head onto your 2.8. If you want more power, turn your 2.8 into a 3.1 by adding the correct crankshaft/pistons, or stuff in a new HT 3.4 crate motor or used/rebuilt 3.4 from a '93-'95 Camaro/Firebird.
