Been working on getting the 2.6 carbed back in my 86 trooper. Wrestled with a lot of agreavation and wasable to get things working pretty close to right with the help of this place. rebuilt engine has like 10 hours and almost no miles. The plugs that I got at the parts house are NGK BOR6EGP with a fine point for the electrode. they just seemed to quit with a solid miss on #1 and poor on the rest. I pulled them and replaced with the old ones, 10 plus years old, NGK BPR5EY II (Blage flat electrode) that were in the engine when the son overheated it. Ran better with the old plugs than with the new ones when they were new.

2.6 bored 30 over, new head, Redline Weber carb. no performance upgrades. Whats the best plug?

Thanks!
