Can anyone recommend a decent provider of rebuilding kits for 2.6?
I see a couple on e-bay but I am wondering how good they are ( I have heard horror storiees)

Did you give up on the front seal?

I used the Rock engine kit from allstateengine.com. No problems with the parts or gasket set. It has every gasket needed and a timing belt. It was only $235 a few months ago. They even swapped my main bearings when the machine shop had to turn it more than expected

Actually I am getting more ambitious, he he . I am considering, since I had to lift the engine up to drop the oil pan, to just pull the whole thing out and do an overhaul. Heck I'm half way there.
I have most ( probably all) of the gaskets and all belts already.
I would need rod bearings and maybe a crankckshaft and perhaps new rings. I guess I'll find out when I pull all the crap appart.
