has anyone added an auxiliary transmission cooler to their 1st gen trooper? i have a V6 with auto trans and was considering the additional cooling benefits from an external cooler. i did a search, but all the other write-ups are for either rodeos or newer troopers. and from the photos i've seen, namely DAE's, on these models it looks as though there's plenty of room for the aux cooler to the left of the electric fan. (i don't know if that fan is factory, or DAE added it to his rodeo).
on my trooper, i have the stock radiator and the air conditioning condenser; which runs the full length of the radiator. if i do get the auxiliary transmission cooler, (Hayden model #677), where would i mount it?
I installed one on my Trooper a few months ago when I had the radiator out. I mounted mine to the AC condenser and had plenty of room. I ran the lines under the radiator support, but they are protected by the front skid plate.
