1989 Isuzu Trooper
- V6 (same motor as Chevy S10 for that year)
-300K miles on original engine.
- Engine ran when last drove it over 2 years ago. But, appears starter not working.

Needs work, that I don’t have time for, which includes:
-New radiator
-new starter
  • a good tune up
  • close the exhaust leaks at exhaust manifold gaskets
  • heater box - reversed flushed or replaced

The body has some dents, the interior some wear. Has “reconstructed title” for a fender bender that bent bumper and insurance wanted to total car but a large fir tree and a hydraulic jack straightened out.

Seriously, I love this car and don’t want to sell it. Just not practical for me to fix up at this time of my life. I am hoping someone wants a project and/or wants it for parts on a restoration on another trooper.

With Troopers going extinct more and more…Hoping not to let it go to a junkyard. Would feel much better going to an Isuzu enthusiast.

Another PNW Trooper, looks like an excellent project!

Good ol' 2.8, a great engine. And it has the Rare retractable cargo cover, definitely a plus!

Note that a starter for a 2001 Monte Carlo (FWD) 3400 is an upgrade over the OE 2.8 starter, bolts right in. That starter has a permanent-magnet armature and gear reduction drive.

For the prospecitve buyer, I'd heartily recommend the Remflex P/N 2012 exhaust manifold gasket set, these are extremely high-quality and pretty much guaranteed to seal problem leaks. I have a leaky driver's side manifold and just picked up a set to install. You'll find good deals for these on eBay.

Good Luck with the sale..............ed
