1988 Isuzu Trooper II LS

My pop used to have an FJ60 back when I was just a kid but sold it to purchase a house for our family. He missed that thing so much and always wanted another one since. Fast forward 40 years later and he found this Trooper in November of 2019 and it reminded him so much of the FJ so he bought it. When he got it, it ran a little rough but passed smog with a new catalytic converter. He wanted this one to be a vehicle we could create memories together so started our father and son Trooper refresh project. Long story short, when we finally received the new cylinder head back from the local machine shop my pop got sick and it hindered his ability to help me with the build. So for awhile the new parts kept arriving since I was hoping he would be well enough in short time to help me with it. With his old age and disabilities, it kind of just kept him from it. Then came Covid and my life started with my wife last year so the poor Trooper sat for a couple years. All the parts you see in the photos are new or brand new in box. The OE used parts are extras I started accumulating during 2020 from salvage vehicles because I wanted extras in case we needed them some day. This is an immaculate condition vehicle for its age! Well kept by the previous original owner and we’ve also kept it that way. California vehicle it’s whole life so there is very little surface rust in some areas. Everything is there except the radiator. The old one was trashed because my niece accidentally put a hole in it. It just needs someone to put it all back together and install the new parts for a very good looking and capable off-road rig. Not looking to part out since it’s a very clean vehicle that just needs someone to give it love and a new life. I know what we have in it and most likely won’t recoup most of it but we are reasonable and want it to go to someone who will enjoy it so we are willing to discuss solid cash only offers. Will need to be towed.
